As of now I am 3 cm dilated, still 75% effaced, and having irregular contractions. They watched me for about 30 minutes yesterday at the doctor's office then shipped me across the street to the hospital for another 3 hours.
The let down of having to go home hit Corey more than me. I called him to come down from work yesterday morning and he met me at the hospital with the hopes that we were going to stay there and meet our baby. Nope.
I realized that I've been lucky enough to start building a relationship with our son for the last 9 months, while Corey has yet to experience the same feelings. Yes, he has felt him move and heard his heartbeat but it's not the same as what I've been able to go through. Overall, we want it to be God's timing and have a healthy baby (and mommy). Plus, it gave me an excuse to do some more loads of laundry and hopefully bribe Corey into vacuuming the house again today ;-)
On a happier note we found out that Jaxson will probably be a very big and active boy. At the hospital they hooked me up to monitor his heartbeat as well as my contractions. The first time the doctor came in he looked at Jax's heartbeat/movements and said "well he's a big boy". That's the first time we were told by a doctor about anything dealing with his measurements. The last time we were able to even see him was at 20 weeks. Corey got all excited and asked "how can you tell?!" The doctor explained how the movements/heartbeat peaks and lows showed a good indication as well as how low his head is right now and he's still able to kick me high in my belly.
With this latest news I'm preparing myself for a large baby boy :) I'm getting more and more excited to meet him and hold him finally!
Please continue to keep us all in your prayers!
