Firsts

We've had a week of 'firsts' for Jax:

He ate out at a restaurant for the first time. We celebrated Mamaw's birthday and he slept the whole time :) 

We are experiencing our first week of long travel for Corey. Jax seems to miss his night routine of Corey feeding and holding him at night. He was hard to console last night for a bit. 

 

He hit a big milestone of opening his eyes more and looking around. He still can't see much or distance but he is curious and stares around. 

This development led to us experiencing another 'first'. One that he will surely repeat a lot with his momma; shopping at Target! We picked up his first play mat so he can get some visual stimulation other than the ceiling fan. 

He slept for the hour we were there and didn't start fussing until we were leaving the parking lot. Grandpa and I got to hear Jax's first blow-out screaming fit all the way home. He was getting 'hangry' like his momma. 

The last 'first', so far this week, was sleeping for most of the night last night! He slept 4 hours straight, woke up to eat, slept another 2 hours, woke again to eat, slept an hour, woke up with some spit up, and has been sleeping since. 

He's really cuddly these last two days. I'm hoping it's not due to an upset tummy. If so, it'll add to his week of 'firsts'.
