8 months

Seriously, someone pinch me! Where have the last 8 months gone? 

Jax has sure changed a lot and not just in size :) 

He is smiling and laughing more. I love hearing him giggle at my kisses or when he hears me laugh. He is even laughing at the dogs when they come in close for a kiss. 

Speaking of dogs, we have been working on saying "dog" when we point to the dogs and he has caught in pretty well. He doesn't have the hard 'g' sound down but the beginning of the word seems to have stuck. His latest trick is to run over the dogs if they are in his way when he is in his walker.

He is sitting on his own pretty much all the time. There are a few times when his big head gets the better part of gravity; which ends in tears. But he has started riding un the 'big boy' part of shopping carts and experienced his first high chair last night at Red lobster! 

Everyone we meet seems to comment on how calm and quiet he is. I have to agree and politely thank them. I think to myself, " come over at 8 p.m." To see another side :) 

Really though, he's so sweet and easy going. He's most talkative and bubbly in the mornings when he enjoys walking around the kitchen hitting my ankles and staring at himself in the reflection of our appliances.
